Bigpenny Entertainment is proud to announce the band SwampDaWamp will behitting the road for their first of many to come national tours. The band hasannounced the 4 week tour of the Midwest which includes 7 shows in a 9 day stayin Sturgis, South Dakota, for the 68th annual Sturgis Bike Rally.This is the largest bike rally in the world with over 500,000 attendees in oneweek. SwampDaWamp will be sharing the entertainment schedules with artists suchas Kiss, Kenny Chesney, Marshall Tucker Band, John Fogerty, Kelly Pickler andKid Rock just to name a few. The band will be filming theentire tour for the upcoming documentary TheRoad to Sturgis. The documentary will be directed by Darell Belk & RobFerris of Big Penny Entertainment and producer Joe Boyland at Big StreetEntertainment in Nashville for the editing duties. The band is hoping to havethe documentary ready for DVD release in November 2008.
SwampDaWamp, hailing fromCharlotte, NC, have teamed up withthe Buck Head Saloon, Jack Daniels, PatRogers Harley Davidson and other local sponsors for the Road to Sturgis kick off party on July23, the same date filming begins. The documentary will consist of band materialsuch as personal time preparing for the trip a couple days prior to other thingslike interviewing fans in all tour stops along the way including Cincinnati,Chicago, Minnesota, Iowa etc. Thevideo will capture the various cultures from every city along the way, as wellas live performance footage, life on a tour bus with all band members andfinally, the band embracing the people and events at Sturgis includinginterviews other artists.
SwampDaWamp has also just releasedthe 3 song EP, “SwampDaWamp 2.0,” for their upcoming sophomore cd due out July15, 2008.
